From Ceremony to Reception
Congratulations Joey and Rob! What an unbelievably romantic ceremony and reception. The lovely couple celebrated among their closest relatives and friends. The food was delicious, from the canapes to the main courses, everything was exquisite. We loved the vine and rose details on the tables and the violinist was a beautiful touch.
Perfect Ceremony, Perfect Reception
Congratulations Brian and Angela! We are so lucky to have seen such a beautiful ceremony and reception at Shaughnessy. We always aim to make any wedding as spectacular as ever, and the views from our stunning covered outdoor patio offer the perfect place to say “I do”.
Orchids and Pastels
Congratulations Joey and David! It was exciting to see the room transformed with large bouquets of orchids and hydrangeas on tall table vases, something we rarely see but that is aperfect way to compliment the high ceilings of our venue. We loved seeing the white, pink, and purple hues inside compliment the greenery of the gardens as well.
Congratulations Cecilia and Tom! What a stunning wedding it was…from the wedding ceremony on our covered open air deck to the plated dinner service, to the decor of dark leafy vines adorning every table. It was a night to remember and we are so happy we could help make these moments come to life.

Pretty in Pink
Congratulations Aly and Maral! It was so special to celebrate these two amazing people under a grey March sky. The room looked stunning; the lighting was perfection. It’s a true testament to our venue that no matter what – rain, shine, or snow – the room is always captivating. The decor was perfect in pink florals and pink cupcakes and the green backdrop paired perfectly. From mingling outdoors on our covered and heated deck to dinner and then dancing, the night was sensational.
Congratulations Yasmin and Jamil! Alicia Keats went above and beyond with planning this gorgeous golden wedding reception. From gilded plates to cursive hand written place cards, the entire restaurant was turned into a room fit for a king and his queen. The decor was complete with soft pink and white hues in the flower arrangements, and petite bouquets of lavender at every setting. Simple elegance. Truly, nothing compares to that sort of theme with a backdrop of the lush green gardens.

A Sweet and Cherished Reception
Congratulations Vicky and Corey! Although these love birds wed inside the Vandusen Gardens, we were lucky enough to cater to their fun-filled wedding reception with so many beautiful friends, family, and loved ones. It was a spectacular afternoon-into-evening event, one filled with cupcakes, brilliant speeches and laughter, tons of love, and lots of dance. The woodsy bouquets matched the solid wood flooring and their pink and red theme popped and sparkled in the room. It was a wonderful evening!
A Winter Wonderland
Congratulations Kar-yee and Greg! We love how these two lovebirds took advantage of the winter wonderland in the gardens, and decided to take their vows surrounded by the Festival Of Lights and the snow. It’s not often that we see winter weddings, but we love how romantic and unique it can be. This lovely couple got married in the foyer, the perfect indoor venue to accommodate a winter “I do”, followed by a splendid reception in our cozy dining room. No matter what, Shaughnessy wants to make your most precious day memorable in every way, no matter what season of the year.
Stunningly Sweet & Playful
Congratulations Esther and Jimmy! We loved helping to celebrate this beautiful couple, while they shared stunning vows on our outdoor covered patio with stunning garden views, and throughout the reception surrounded by the kiwi vines and twinkling sun. The day was perfection: Pink, white, and yellow roses for a bubbly and fun ambiance, a cupcake tier, drinks, laughs, dancing, and love. The couple offered their guests a 3 course dinner with mains of Wild Sockeye Salmon and a Striploin New York steak. We were so lucky to help make this wedding the most memorable event for the bride and groom and their friends and family.
A Royal Wedding
Congratulations Pratima and Paul! Last year we celebrated the vows of a lovely couple with their closest friends and family. The theme was fit for royalty, purple and white hues coloured the room. The couple chose a 3 course meal finishing off with an untraditional yet yummy strudel for dessert, as well as a cupcake tower for their guests to devour. The head table was just for the two of them, adding to the romanticism of the evening. This was an all day affair, allowing the daytime light to shine into our large windows as the speeches brought the event into the night. Of course, dancing ensued with the princess and prince taking their first dance.
